How to Use Water Absorbing Material in Potting Soil

Water absorbing materials are otherwise called as hydrophilic or hydrogels polymers and they are made out of crystal like polymers that enable them to reserve dampness in planters when mixed to the potting soil mix. Initially, the polymers will look like salt when they are dry, but blow up into jelly like bundle when they absorb water. The polymer bundles gather dampness just like sponge; in such a way that as and when the roots of the plants are dry, water can be made available to them.
