Why Silver Coins Worth The Money Have Additional Value
There was a time in this country's history when most currency coins were indeed made of actual silver. Today, however, most coins are made of inexpensive and readily available metals such as copper and other alloys. In the days when coins were made of precious metals such as silver, the cost of the precious metal was closely related to the denomination value of the coin.
