Zucker: CNN Needs "More Passion"
It was soon after the job of running CNN Worldwide became available that Jeff Zucker got a text message. Phil Kent, the president of Turner Broadcasting, told him that since everyone already believed that they were talking about the job, perhaps they should get together. They did, and continued to meet periodically in New York, even as Kent also huddled with others on his short list for the high-profile post.

Josh Koscheck, Nick Diaz?s camp hoping for a bout
Josh Koscheck's last fight was a loss in May to Johny Hendricks. An injury knocked him off UFC 151 before it was canceled. Now that he is healthy again, he is looking for an opponent. Luckily, Nick Diaz's camp made it easy for Koscheck to come up with someone.
Cesar is calling 4 me the fight Diaz in Feb. Super Bowl weekend! What you guy think? I am DOWN! Don't be scared Homie! #559 lol
? Josh Koscheck (@JoshKoscheck) October 29, 2012
UFC president Dana White said that when Diaz comes off suspension, he will need to win a fight before getting a chance at the belt. Diaz lost a tight decision to Carlos Condit for the interim welterweight belt, then was later suspended when his drug test was found positive for marijuana metabolites.
The suspension means a Super Bowl weekend fight is unlikely. Diaz's suspension ends on Feb. 3, the day after the Feb. 2 date of the event that is normally a huge event for the UFC. But even if it's not that weekend, this is an intriguing fight. The amount of trash talking alone will make it fun, as will watching Diaz try to handle Koscheck's wrestling skill.

Phoenix project reincarnates WebOS as Nexus S app
After its untimely demise, WebOS showed some resilience by coming back in open source form and popping up in various devices hither and yon. On the vanguard of that resurrection is Phoenix International Communications, a team of volunteers who've managed to port the orphaned OS to a Samsung Nexus S device, running as an app inside Android. So far, the reborn OS app is displaying decidedly zombie-like slowness, but it's still an early pre-alpha build. If all goes well, you might one day be able to seamlessly switch between WebOS and Android without rebooting, letting you run apps from both systems. So, if you've been carrying a torch for the fallen system, check the video after the break.

How to help Dennis Hallman?s family after devastating house fire
As we mentioned last week, former UFC fighter Dennis Hallman lost his home the night before Thanksgiving to a fire. Luckily, no one was home and no one was injured in the fire that took six hours to put out. The MMA community has responded to help Hallman and his four children rebuild.
Fighter Benji Radach has put together a fund to help Hallman rebuild. 113 people have already donated to get the total over $10,000. To donate, click here. People have already contributed amounts ranging from $5 to $500.
Hallman has been fighting since 1996, and he told Sports Illustrated that the worst things he lost in the fire were irreplaceable items like pictures of his family and programs from his fights.
"That's the stuff that makes you want to cry when you think about it. At first, I was angry about it, but sitting there with my sons around me, I thought, I can't take any of that stuff with me to the grave," said Hallman.

Guest Blog: Mat Oxley: Marquez impresses at MotoGP winter test
MotoMatters.com is delighted to feature the work of iconic MotoGP writer Mat Oxley. Oxley is a former racer, TT winner and highly respected author of biographies of world champions Mick Doohan and Valentino Rossi, and currently writes for Motor Sport Magazine, where he is MotoGP correspondent. We will be featuring sections of Oxley's blogs, posted in full on the Motor Sport Magazine website, over the coming months.
MotoGP winter testing began on Tuesday in very wintry conditions, which isn’t the idea of winter testing.
The weather was so grim at Valencia that Yamaha packed up and headed 150 miles north to Aragon, pursued by rent-a-cars full of journalists and photographers anxious for their first glimpse of Valentino Rossi and his new Yamaha getting down to it on slicks.
They needn’t have bothered – the weather wasn’t much better at Aragon – so Rossi and new/old team-mate Jorge Lorenzo learned nothing. In fact Lorenzo did learn something – that it’s very easy to crash in the wet, but then he knew that already. Yamaha should’ve gone south, to Jerez, or even north, to Brands Hatch, where the autumn sun shone beautifully.

Why Is Health Insurance a Necessity for Everyone?
Miesha Tate pushes for Zoila Gurgel to get better Bellator billing
Former Strikeforce bantamweight champion Miesha Tate is not afraid to speak her mind. Last week, she caused a stir when she said there are circumstances where it's acceptable for a man to hit a woman. This week, she's speaking up on behalf of Bellator flyweight champion Zoila Gurgel.
Despite holding a belt and fighting near her hometown, Bellator has placed Gurgel's non-title bout with Casey Noland on the untelevised undercard. For good reason, Tate was annoyed by this and tweeted Bellator president Bjorn Rebney.
Its not ok 4 the @bellatormma champ @zoilagurgel 2 b placed on the untelived portion of the undercard, in her hometown 2! @bjornrebney
? Miesha Tate (@MieshaTate) October 22, 2012
Real Cool @bellatormma just ignore your fans like you do your fighters... We wanna be able to watch @zoilagurgel fight on TV she's ur champ
? Miesha Tate (@MieshaTate) October 23, 2012
Tate sent several more tweets like these and encouraged her followers to tweet Bellator and Bjorn Rebney until they put Gurgel on the main card. Rebney explained his reasoning to MMA Fighting.
"Zoila's been plagued by injury after injury over the last 19 months, having not fought since March, 2011," he wrote. "We felt that the best road back for her did not include rushing her into a major fight against one of the top-ranked women in the world. This is not a world title fight as it's made significantly north of the 115 weight limit where she holds our title. Depending on how Zoila feels and performs on Friday, we can then determine the next appropriate step back."
But that doesn't explain why a champion isn't on television. Brian Rogers is not in a "world title fight," nor is he part of the Bellator tournament bouts that will be aired, but he's on the televised card. When fellow champions Michael Chandler and Ben Askren fought non-title bouts, their fights were on the main card.
When Tate spoke on men hitting women who hit them first, she was railing against a double standard. It looks like she's still fighting one this week.
